Our sail training vessel, the Spirit of Oysterhaven, will dock in Sligo Port on Friday 19th July and remain there for the weekend running various fundraising events to help fund the voyage. On Monday 20th July ten young people from Sligo will board the vessel and take part in a five-day voyage heading South along the Wild Atlantic Way, visiting islands the rugged Irish coastline, two Gaeltacht regions (in Mayo and Galway) before finishing at a convenient port in County Galway.
Safe Haven Voyages' local partner for this project is the CRIB, a project run by the Sligo branch of Foróige. The project's twin aims are integration and regeneration of inner city Sligo.
